Question: What do guys like in a girl?

Our first question comes from chrissi inCA, Her question is "What do girls find attractive in guys, and how should girls act if they want to get the guy?" Good question chrissi!

This question seems like it should be very easy to answer, but it is actually very complicated. There are basically two types of guy when it comes to what type of girl they like. Nearly all guys sway in between these two types at some point in their life. What are these two points?

1st type of guy: The shallow guy, The shallow guy wants 4 things in a girl. He wants her to have a nice ass (means round and hardish), nice boobs (means right size (Cs imho) and round), nice face (means like cute, without blemishes etc.) and her to be good at making him feel good (do i have to tell you everything? :) ) . Obviously this is an impossible standard for your average girl to live up to, but that doesn't stop her from trying to achieve it, and him from looking for it.

2nd type of guy: The deep guy (no pun intended): The deep guy finds a lot of different things attractive. The more experience and intelligence a guy has with girls the more likely he is to become the deep guy, because he realizes there's more to a girl than her asset. Deep guys find funny girls, positive girls, intelligent girls, thoughtful girls and girls you can talk to easily attractive. He views girls as companions and not objects to be played with. A deep guy will look for the things mentioned above in the shallow guy column theres no denying it, but he won't go after a girl JUST because she has these. She has to show him something more.

Obviously the second type of guy is the one you want, unless you just want a casual relationship. The first type of guy will abandon you once he finds someone hotter and your relationship will end up being a power struggle instead of full of love and understanding. As to what a girl should do, I offer some suggestions in a previous post. Pay attention Chrissi! :)

How do I get him to commit?

This question is perhaps on the mind of every single girl's mind when they get a boyfriend. First of all the most important thing, is never try and force him to commit. All this will do is make him resent you. Secondly you need to make sure this guy is actually someone who you'd want to be in a committed relationship with. Is he nice? Is he good with kids (if that's what you're going for)? Really the best solution to this problem is go with a guy who wants a committed relationship in the first place, and who you also want one with. You can tell these types of guys because they're not talking to tons of girls constantly, or bragging to their guy friends about the girls they've banged, and especially if they don't try something the first couple dates. These are the relationship types, and the trick is to find one who both opens up that bad girl side all the players do, but who also respects you. When you find that, then keep him, because he is rare indeed :)

How do I get him to like me?

This question is an all too common dilemma for many girls. Many a girl has had a guy she secretly has a crush on but doesn't know how to get with. The best way to get him is to get him to try and win YOU over. what's the best way to do this?

1. you have to talk to him, if you don't already. Ask him about something that you know he's interested in. preferably talk about something that does not imply interest in HIM, but only in the topic.

2. while talking to him subtly push your chest forward in the "stretch" that many girls do to get guy's attention. if you don't know what I'm talking about, essentially, you lean back "stretching your back", but the real purpose is to stick out your chest so he can get a good look.

3. if you can, transfer into a fun topic, fr0m the one you introduced, and start gently teasing him back. If he starts teasing you back, you know its on. if he's shy, I recommend you first start off being his friend.

Unfortunately, in our culture, it is usually the guy who is the aggressor. If you see him say hi, and follow these rules above. You have a much better chance of getting the guy than if your just really shy.

How do I know if he likes me?

Perhaps the most common question people ask me is, "How do I know if a guy likes me?" This question has no easy answer, otherwise people would have answered it a long time ago. There are however many give away signs that can tell us when a guy may like you:

-He gets nervous around you.
-He seeks your approval
-He teases you gently
-He looks for your approval
-He fidgets around you
-He tries to get your approval
-He makes up excuses to talk to you.
-He's shy and he avoids you.
-When you talk to him, he's genuinely interested in who you are as a person.
-You tease him and he teases back

This list is non-exhaustive but if he does more then one of these things, it's like he's into you :)
Also I say more than one, because guys are different in the way they flirt, and more often than not, some will apply to you, and some won't
